Gemstates Iron Man

*** Iron Man has been a very solid herdsire for us over the last few years. Every Cria we've had has had superb fiber characteristics and he continually throws fawn when bred to white. We have a daughter that is exceptional (Sahara) and his son (Brigadier) that is the next in line to be a Macpaca Herdsire All-Star, which is the only reason we are auctioning him with a starting bid at such a discounted price. His genetics are extremely difficult to come by as mentioned below, so this is a great opportunity. ***

Our newest Herdsire has us very excited. Iron Man is named because of the "rust" color exhibited in his fleece, particularly in his top knot and neck. With that rust, comes access to some powerful color characteristics, while exhibiting the powerful fleece qualities of a white. Armstrong, his sire, is a decorated alpaca who was sold out of the country. His genetics are hard to find and we are thrilled to have them in our herd.

Iron Man's fleece is already exhibiting the qualities we were hoping for. His staple length is off the charts and the character of his fleece is outstanding. He has great crimp and flaunts the fineness too. His density is easy to detect, even with the super fine micron count. Can't wait till he is old enough to breed!

Iron Man had no trouble with breeding this past year. His first crias are hitting the ground in May and June of 2020. Here we go!

And his first two have dropped. A boy and a girl. Both beautiful, tight and crimpy, Light Fawn. Both are loaded with fleece. Both have perfect confirmation. It obviously takes some time to watch fleeces develop, but early indications are that they are every bit as high-quality as we were expecting.
